Dried Rose Petals

We only freeze-dry petals from roses grown in our business. The petals are frozen and placed in a chamber where by the moisture in the petals is removed via a vacuum. Approximately 80% of a rose petals’ weight is water!

By removing the moisture under a vacuum we are able to keep the petals’ colour and shape as close as possible to that of a fresh petal. We are able to freeze-dry wedding bouquets or any other rose arrangement in order to provide a lasting momento of a special occasion.

100g Freeze Dried Rose Petals

Why Freeze Dried?

Freeze-dried rose petals make a wonderful alternative to the traditional use of confetti or rice in weddings. Most churches and reception houses do not allow confetti or rice to be used and in many cases fresh petals are not allowed because of the likelihood of staining and becoming slippery.

Freeze-dried petals do not stain or bruise and are not slippery. (provided that they do not become wet). They can also be stored in a dark dry area for many months and are totally biodegradable.

Each 100g bag of freeze dried petals makes approximately 30 wedding cones (20 cm height). A 300ml glass holds the equivalent of one cone which is 80-100 petals.

We are able to supply wedding cones and pillow boxes upon request.
